Vivek Singh, a resident of Rimari, a small village in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, has achieved what millions of youth wish for. Coming from a farmer family, Vivek secured the post of DSP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) in MPPSC 2024 without any coaching, limited resources and after three failures. His story of tireless hard work, dedication and perseverance has become an inspiration for many youth.

Vivek’s father Devlal Singh is a farmer and the family survives on just four acres of land. His mother Rajkali is a housewife and his younger brother Vikas has done MBA. According to AyraNews24x7 Hindi, despite financial constraints and limited resources, Vivek dreamed big.

He started his education in the village government school, later joining Delhi University and then JNU, where he completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in political science.

Vivek’s journey was challenging. He failed to clear the MPPSC preliminary exam in his first attempt. Although he cleared the prelims in his second and third attempt, he could not clear the MPPSC main exam. However, he did not give up. He recognized his weaknesses, especially his slow writing speed. To improve, he joined a Test series in Indore and practiced extensively. His hard work paid off in the fourth attempt and he secured the post of DSP by scoring 864 marks out of 1685 in the OBC category.

He never relied on coaching and studied seven to eight hours daily, which helped him achieve success. His cousin, Assistant Professor, Sachin Singh guided him throughout his journey.

While studying in Delhi, Vivek lived with four friends in a small two-room house and prepared for UPSC and MPPSC exams. Even with limited resources, he analyzed previous question papers, studied the syllabus thoroughly and developed his strategy. Mock tests helped them a lot in their preparation for main examination and interview.

For Vivek, becoming DSP is just a stepping stone. His ultimate dream is to become an IAS officer. He said this is just the beginning; There is still a long way to go. His hard work and passion shows that he will achieve this goal.
