Submarine Accident in Red Sea: There is news of a tourist submarine sinking in the Red Sea of Egypt. According to reports, the submarine had a capacity to carry 44 passengers.

In Egypt’s Red C, a tourist submarine is expected to kill at least six people due to drowning. The accident took place near Hergada. Many ambulances were sent on the spot after the incident. According to reports, nine people have been injured in this accident, out of which four are in critical condition. 29 passengers were evacuated safely. Relief and rescue operations started immediately after the incident. Egyptian Navy, Coast Guard and Rescue teams reached the spot. The injured passengers were admitted to the nearest hospitals. The accident occurred near the port of Haragada near (local time) at 1 pm (local time).
‘All tourists Russian’
Russian Embassy has confirmed that the submerged submarine was of Sindabad Hotel. It had 45 Russian tourists, their children and crew members. All passengers came on tour through Russian travel company “Biblio Globus” and his Egyptian partner “Biblio Globus Egypt Tours”. Russian Consulate officials are present on Sindbad Hotel Pier and are keeping an eye on the situation.
This submarine named Sindbad has been a tourist attraction in Hergada for years. It had 45 passenger seats and large glass windows, so that passengers could see the beauty of the sea. In advertisements, it was described as a ride with “air-condensand comfort and safety”.
The report of technical problems of this submarine came earlier. Now security standards and its maintenance records are being investigated. This accident can prove to be a major setback for the Egyptian tourism industry.
