Kalpavas, deeply rooted in Hindu traditions and referenced in texts such as the Mahabharata, is a month-long period of asceticism and spiritual meditation. Starting on Pausha Purnima and culminating on Maghi Purnima, participants, known as Kalpavasis, forgo modern comforts to live in makeshift tents near the Sangam – the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers. They engage in daily rituals, including taking a holy dip in the river, attending spiritual discourses, and listening to devotional music. This practice emphasizes internal purification and spiritual development.

According to a report in Times of India, Lauren will reportedly stay in the camp of Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashananda of Niranjani Akhara. They are expected to participate in various rituals and take a holy dip in the Sangam to fully embrace the spiritual essence of the Maha Kumbh.
