Staff Selection Commission General Duty (GD) Constable Recruitment last date is 14th October.

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting applications for the post of General Duty (GD) Constable in BSF, CRPF, CISF and ITBP. The application process has started from September 5, 2024.

However, the last date for application is October 14. Therefore, candidates who are planning to get jobs in BSF, CRPF, CISF and ITBP should immediately avail this opportunity. To complete the application process, candidates have to visit the official website of SSC- ssc.gov.in.

Candidates are further cautioned that no extension in the last date for submission of online application form will be given under any circumstances.

Number of vacancies for each post:

BSF- 15,654 posts

CISF- 7,145 posts

CRPF- 11,541 posts

SSB- 819 Posts

ITBP- 3,017 posts

Assam Rifles (AR) – 1,248 posts

SSF- 35 posts.

NCB- 22 posts

A total of 39,481 posts are available for this recruitment.

Application Fee for SSC GD Constable:

The application fee for general category candidates is Rs 100.

Application Fee for Women Candidates, SC/ST Category and Ex-Servicemen – None.

eligibility criteria:

Candidates applying for this post of SSC GD Constable must have passed 10th from a recognized board or institute.

Age Limit:

The age of the candidates applying for these posts should be between 18 to 23 years as on January 1, 2024. Also, he should not be born before 2 January 2002 and after 1 January 2007.

Selection Process:

Candidates will first have to go through Computer Based Test (CBT).

Secondly, they have to appear for Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Third, they will have to undergo Physical Standard Test (PST).

Finally, they have to go through the process of document verification and medical examination. Candidates have to pass all these stages to secure the post as SSD GD Constable.

Exam Pattern:

Total questions- 80

Total marks- 160

Time Duration- 60 minutes

Negative Marking- 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The exam consists of four sections which include General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics and English/Hindi.
