Sparkling water will not help you lose weight that can suggest studies? What should you know here

Date:

Calorie deficiency does not mean losing weight: Sparkling water has no calories, but it is not necessarily translating for weight loss. Studies have claimed that sparkling water can help you lose weight by helping you feel full, which can reduce your desire to snack and overate. Recently a hypothesis suggested that sparkling water can help reduce weight by increasing your body blood sugar (glucose) and attracts metabolism attention. However, Studyfinds.org reported that this is not new research – rather, it is a new hypothesis by referring to the results of a study published in 2004 – with additional supplementary research to support the theory.

A research found on sparkling water

Sparkling water is just water that is naturally or artificially carbonated. This process adds carbon dioxide gas to water, which produces fizz or bubbles that we combine with sparkling water.

Recently, researchers at the Tasekai Neurosurgery Hospital in Japan found that the carbonation of sparkling water could have an exciting side effect. Their research has shown that carbonated water can affect our metabolism by unexpected methods. His study was published in BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health.

Earlier studies showed that sparkling water can help us feel full and reduce appetite pain. But, this new research deepened, given that carbon dioxide (CO2) – the gas that makes those sparkling water bubbles – actually interacts with our blood cells. According to the study, when we drink sparkling water, CO2 does not just make that familiar fizzle sensation; It is absorbed into our bloodstream through the abdominal wall.

What the new report says

Studyfinds.org said that it should be noted that the old 2004 study did not even examine the effect of sparkling water on body weight. It was really observed what happens with blood when passing through a kidney dialysis machine (hemodialysis) and how it can reduce blood sugar. No sparkling water was eaten as part of this study.

Using data from 20-year-old paper, it is estimated that the use of glucose in a four-hour dialysis session is extended up to 9G-36 additional calories were burnt, according to studyfinds.

But the study was based on hypothesis, not looking at the effects of carbon dioxide in the blood, the study said. Rather, it was seeing how hemodialysis changes the pH of red blood cells – and how it affects blood sugar. This makes it difficult to compare how carbon dioxide in sparkling water can affect blood sugar when it enters the bloodstream.

Perondfinds.org, the author of the hypothesis in itself is careful to explain in paper that carbonated water is not a standalone solution for weight loss and both healthy diet and physical activity are important.
