Sonakshi Sinha remembers the actor who thought she looked older; Netizens guess, ‘Ranbir Kapoor’s loss’

Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor is one actor who has amazing onscreen chemistry with almost all his co-stars. He may be with his wife Alia Bhatt at the National Award Winning Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022), with Deepika Padukone Yeh younga hai deewani (2013) or Konkona Sensharma in wake up sid (2009). He’s a genius if you think about it. So a few years ago, when reports surfaced that RK had refused to do a romantic comedy with Sonakshi Sinha, fans were shocked. They would have made a great pair, but according to rumours, Ranbir reportedly expressed concern that Sonakshi looked ‘older’ than him. Well, now netizens think that Sonakshi has confirmed this rumour.

In a recent conversation with Zoom, Sonakshi spoke about how men are much underestimated compared to women in the film industry. Giving her own example, Sonakshi recalled, “I have had to deal with actors who are older than me, who said ‘Oh, she looks older than us’.” She further added, “I just want to thank them. I don’t want to work with someone like him. Well, soon after a clip of this interview went viral on social media, netizens started speculating. Putting two and two together, fans guessed that she was talking about Ranbir.

This video has now become the cause of severe trolling. Under the Reddit thread, a social media user claimed, “Ranbir’s loss, TBH. I think Sonakshi is very underrated as an actress and heroine. She made some bad choices, but the girl looks the part and can act. I also think she would look great with Ranbir,” while a mean comment read, “And Ranbir is known for fat shaming. He did this to his pregnant wife, what else can you expect from him.” Another internet user shared, “I remember this, a few years ago there was a story where Ranbir thought Sonakshi looked older than him and refused to do a film with her. Like that guy sucks, but karma came here because the guy is aging so badly, he now looks like an uncle married to a young woman. Sonashki is fantastic. Trouble him with his failing hairline, droopy face and dead eyes. He can now play the role of her father.

Not that it matters, but the age difference between Ranbir and Sonakshi is 5 years. Well, Sonakshi didn’t mention Ranbir by name, so we can’t be sure whether she’s actually talking about him or not. But in your opinion, will these two prove to be a good pair onscreen?
