Set in feudal Japan, this drama series directed by Hiroyuki Sanada took home most of the honors at the awards ceremony, beating out several great TV shows including The Bear, Baby Reindeer, Fargo, Ripley’s and more.

The historical drama, directed by the team of Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks, also scored a stellar success, taking home some of the night’s most coveted titles – Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Outstanding New Program. These wins bring the show’s tally to four major awards ahead of the Emmy Awards nominations, which will be announced soon, where the series is expected to shine once again.

Meanwhile, a significantly influential TV series that originally began its run in the ’90s claimed the Heritage Award for its impressive relevance. Here’s your cue: The mystery series directed by Kyle MacLachlan was created by David Lynch and Mark Frost and ran for two seasons.
