Sharad Kelkar praised Deepika Padukone
Praising his co-star, Sharad said, “I remember one incident very well. More than love, I respect her (Deepika) a lot. At that time I had undergone knee surgery and we were shooting the song – Lahu Munh Lag Gaya. I had to sit and do Garba. My physio told me, ‘You can’t sit because you’ve just had surgery, you can’t bend below 90 degrees.’ I was unable to do it. Because of the pain caused by the surgery, I couldn’t do it. Since Sanjay sir is a perfectionist, he said ‘Do as much as you can.’ I couldn’t understand the steps. Deepika was dancing barefoot with full injuries on her feet. With complete tape tied, she shot for 11 days in pain (she kept dancing with tape tied around her leg for eleven days despite being in pain). I will teach you.’ Somehow I managed to do it and she was so sweet.’”
