Shahid Kapoor is a proud husband. In an interview with The Indian Express, the actor said he is dedicated to his wife Mira Rajput, who co-founded a skincare brand in 2015, years after their marriage and giving birth to two children, Misha and Zain . “I think Mira has her own personality and I have my own. Sure, he’s started doing a lot of things recently. She had taken a very strong decision to have her children first and then pursue her career. And I think it has worked in his favour,” said Shahid. “Now our children are much older and he has a lot of time for himself. She’s building on things and she did what she thought she wanted to do as a mom and dedicated her time to it. Now, she could slowly feel free and do the things she wanted to do. Shahid said, “I am proud of her and I am dedicated to her.”
Shahid said that Mira has been “a partner, a friend and a support system” to him and now, it is his turn to return the favor as he starts his professional journey. He said he was “happy to be there for her in any way I can.” Shahid and Mira had an arranged marriage in 2015, when Mira was 21 years old. Both of them met because they walk on the same spiritual path. They have two children – daughter Misha and son Zain. Mira recently co-founded skincare brand Akind Beauty with Tira Beauty.
Shahid on work front
While Shahid encourages Mira to pursue her career after becoming a mother, she is also busy with her film career. He will next be seen as a police officer in Roshan Andrews’ action thriller Deva, in which he will share screen space with Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait. Produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Deva will release in theaters on January 31. Shahid will star alongside Trupti Dimri, Nana Patekar, Randeep Hooda and Vikrant Massey in Vishal Bhardwaj’s next.
