Coldplay frontman Chris Martin paid special praise to Shah Rukh Khan during his performance in Mumbai on Sunday and chanted ‘Shah Rukh Khan, forever’ in front of the audience, sending the actor’s fans into raptures. Now, the actor has reacted to the heartfelt tribute, saying that his gesture made him feel really special. In 2016, Chris and his band performed at the Global Citizen Festival in India and then Shah Rukh hosted a party for the singer at his home.

Shahrukh Khan replied

On Sunday, Coldplay hosted their second concert at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. A video has surfaced in which the group’s frontman Chris scolds Shahrukh. In a video posted by a fan account on X (formerly Twitter), the band performed and in the middle of the music, Chris said, “Shahrukh Khan forever. Go.” The fans present in the stadium booed while turning on the lights of their phones.

On Monday, Shah Rukh went to Ex and posted the clip of Chris congratulating him, along with a sweet note. He also shared a gratitude message on his Instagram Stories.

“Look at the stars…look how they shine for you…and everything you do! My brother Chris Martin, you make me feel special…like your songs,” Shah Rukh wrote.

The actor further added, “Love you and many congratulations to your team. You are one in a billion, my friend. India loves you, @coldplay”. He also added “Chris Martin Forever Ever” to the clip.

About the Coldplay show

The band is in India with their Music of the Spheres World Tour. The British band has another show at the DY Patil Stadium on Tuesday. The fourth show will be held on January 25 and the second on January 26 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In addition to Chris, the band consists of guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, drummer and percussionist Will Champion, and manager Phil Harvey.
