Set against the backdrop of Sector 36, the trailer showcases an intense investigation by a police inspector trying to save the lives of missing children while racing against time to arrest a serial killer.
In the film, Vikrant will be seen playing the role of a serial killer who is being chased by Deepak Dobriyal, who is playing the role of a determined police inspector.
The trailer begins by introducing the audience to Prem Singh (Vikrant), who works as a domestic help in an upscale household in Sector 36. It begins with Inspector Ram Charan Pandey (played by Deepak) interrogating Prem in a dimly lit room while a video camera records the proceedings.
This is followed by a scene in which Prem lures a child in the slums of Sector 36 with chocolate, followed by an intriguing murder scene.
During the investigation, Prem reaches the bungalow where he works. The story gets more complicated when the case becomes personal for the police inspector as several children go missing from his slum in Sector 36.
The trailer reveals that the film is inspired by true “shocking” events. However, it does not reveal much about the film.
Vikrant about the film
Talking about his role in the film, Vikrant said, “Playing Prem for this film was different from any character I have done before. Playing a layered and terrifying killer who could be just like any other person was difficult. Aditya (Nimbalkar) has done a fantastic job in carefully creating this grim world. This is an incredibly important film, and as storytellers, we hope the audience will understand the need to tell stories like this.”
Talking about this Deepak said, “I was impressed with the script of Sector 36 right from the beginning. It is a powerful thriller that highlights class inequality and how crime flourishes if left unchecked.”
