Combs was taken into custody earlier this week in New York City on racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He appeared in court for his second bail plea on Wednesday, but his $50 million bond request was denied, citing that he was a flight risk.

He is being held at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC), the same facility where fellow disgraced rappers R. Kelly and Ghislaine Maxwell were once incarcerated.

According to The New York Post, the rapper’s first meal in prison was Swedish meatballs. He was also given the option of eating a black bean burger, but it seemed he only ate the meatballs. Combs had green beans, egg noodles, a garden salad, and a 16-ounce drink for his meal.

“Numerous courts in this district have held that conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are not appropriate for pretrial detention,” Combs’ attorneys said in their bail petition.

There have been reports of flooded toilets, cockroaches breeding and sub-zero temperatures in the prison. American financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died in this prison.

A quick look at Combs’ daily prison schedule

According to former warden Cameron Lindsey, who spoke to TMZ, Combs will wake up at 6 a.m. and must make his own bed and clean the floor of his cell. In addition to showering three times a week, he will get one hour of free time each day. While Combs’ lawyers will visit more frequently to work on his case, friends and relatives will be allowed to visit him from time to time.

Combs is currently being held in the jail’s special housing unit, separated from the general public.

According to Lindsay, this is possibly due to security concerns, as some inmates may consider killing a famous inmate such as Combs a “badge of honor”.

Combs was charged with racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation for prostitution following his arrest in New York on Monday. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
