State Bank of India (SBI) is currently conducting its probationary officer (PO) Preliminary Examination 2025. The first exam was held on 8 March, and the next one will be held on 16 March, and 24, 2025. Through this recruitment, SBI will fill 600 PO vacancies. This includes 586 regular posts and 14 backlog vacancies.
SBI PO cut in 2025, representing the minimum qualification mark for each stage, once the result is declared, the official website will be released on sbi.co.in. Candidates can use last year’s cut-off marks to understand the expected cut off marks for this year.

General: 50-55
Other Backward Classes: 49-54
Economically weak section: 50-55
Schedule Caste: 43-48

SBI Prelims Exam Pattern after 2025
Prelims exam is being conducted online and includes three sections – English language, quantitative ability and logic ability. Overall there are 100 multi-class questions, and overall the exam duration is one hour. For each wrong answer, one-fourth points assigned to that question will be cut. However, if a question is left unanswered, no mark will be cut.
SBI PO Prelims Exam 2025: What’s next?
Those who clean the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination next time. It has the objective questions of 250 marks. The selection process includes a psychometric test, group exercise and interview in the final stage. The final selection will be based on performance in this round.
A candidate should get a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government should be eligible for the examination. In addition, they should be between 21 years and 30 years of age.
