Jaipur. The first Sankashti Chaturthi i.e. Tilkuta Chauth fast of the new year is on 17 January. This fast will start at 4:07 am and will end on next January 18 at 5:30 am. This fast is considered very special for women. On that day, married women keep a fast and worship Lord Ganesha and Chauth Mata, while sesame dishes are offered to Chauth Mata. After this, the fast is broken by worshiping after moonrise. It is also called Sankat Haran Chaturthi and Tilkuta Chauth.
