Sanjay Mishra about working in Son of Sardar 2…

When asked about replacing Vijay after his exit from Son of Sardaar 2, Sanjay said, “I have completed shooting for Son of Sardaar 2. Honestly, it’s all part of the business. I did this film because I got a call from Ajay Devgan. One call from him and that’s all it takes for me to say yes to him. He is my close friend and has been with me through difficult times. Not only this, it was not easy to replace Vijay.”

He further added, “As we all know, he is an amazing actor. In the back of my mind, it was definitely going on that I needed to perform and give my best, especially because I have replaced a good actor like Vijay. We are also friends and will remain so. I am a fan of his work and he is amazing at what he does. Instead, it motivates me to improve my performance, so I don’t disappoint my audience and Ajay, who always shows faith in me.

Kumar Mangat says Vijay has been removed because of his behavior

As reported by Pinkvilla, the film’s co-producer Kumar Mangat Pathak alleged that Vijay was removed based on his behaviour. Kumar said, “Yes, it is true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behavior on the sets. He demanded a bigger room and a vanity van and also charged us more for the spot boy. Actually, their spot boy was paid 20,000 per night, which is more than any big actor. The UK is an expensive place, and during the shoot everyone got standard rooms, but they demanded premium suites… Even other actors and I stayed in rooms of the same category as them, which cost Rs 45,000 for a night, and in one of the best hotels, it was huge.’

Vojay Raaz denies misconduct on Son of Sardaar 2 set

In the same report, Vijay denied the allegations and was quoted as saying, “I reached the venue well in time for the trial. I reached the van and Ravi Kishan came to meet me. The EP, Ashish and producer Kumar Mangat came to meet me, followed by director Vijay Arora. I came out of the van and saw Ajay Devgan standing about 25 meters away. I did not go to welcome him as he was busy and I kept talking to my friends nearby. After 25 minutes, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘You leave the film, we are expelling you.’ The only misconduct on my part is that I did not greet Mr. Ajay Devgan. I didn’t even meet the crew, and these are the only people I interacted with. I was thrown out of the film 30 minutes after reaching the set because I didn’t greet Ajay Devgan. These are powerful people and there is no question of misbehavior.”
