While many Salman is a good friend of Kiran’s ex-husband and her Missing Ladies co-producer Aamir Khan. Aamir and Salman have shared screen space in Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1994 buddy comedy Andaz Apna Apna.
About Lapata Ladies
Set in rural India in 2001, Missing Ladies is the story of two young brides who get separated during a train journey and what happens when Manohar (Ravi Kishan), a police officer, takes the responsibility of investigating the missing case.

Kiran, who started out as an assistant director on the sets of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s 2001 iconic period sports film Lagaan, made his directorial debut nine years later with Dhobi Ghat. The film starred Prateik Babbar, Monica Dogra and Aamir. Kiran has been associated with Aamir Khan Productions as a producer all these years.
