New Delhi. Strengthening its hold in the 350cc segment, Royal Enfield has launched the new Goan Classic 350 motorcycle in the Indian market. The starting ex-showroom price of this bike has been kept at Rs 2.35 lakh.
The special thing is that it has been introduced in single-tone and dual-tone paint options, in which the price of dual-tone variant is Rs 2.38 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). The new Goan Classic is said to be based on the Royal Enfield Classic 350, but many major changes have been made in it which make it more premium and attractive.
Design and features
The same platform as the Classic 350 has been used in the Goan Classic 350. The tank, side box, fender and headlight housing of the bike are similar to the Classic 350. However, its LED headlights, round tail lamps, ape-hanger handlebar and forward-set footpegs give it a distinct identity.
The bike has 19-inch front and 16-inch rear spoke wheels. Additionally, both wheels feature disc brakes and dual-channel ABS. Goan Classic has regular telescopic front forks and rear dual shock absorbers. Its features include LED lighting, semi-digital instrument cluster, adjustable lever and Royal Enfield’s Tripper navigation system.
Performance and Engine
Royal Enfield’s J-series engine has been installed in the Goan Classic 350, which generates a little more than 20 bhp power and 27Nm peak torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The seat height of the bike is only 750 mm, which makes it perfect even for short riders.
Color and unique paint scheme
This motorcycle has been introduced in four attractive colors – Rave Red, Trip Teal, Shack Black and Purple Haze. Its single-seater look and paint scheme make it even more special.
competition
The Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350 will directly compete with the Jawa Perak, which is the only bobber style motorcycle in the segment. Apart from this, this bike will also compete with other motorcycles of Jawa and Yezdi, other models of Royal Enfield and Honda CB range.
Royal Enfield has designed the Goan Classic 350 keeping in mind those customers who want modern technology along with classic looks. Now it remains to be seen how much this bike is liked in the market.
