– Before using the room heater, clean it thoroughly. This will remove the dust stuck in it and there will be no smell while using the heater.
– Avoid running room heater or blower for a long time in a closed room. Running the heater produces carbon monoxide gas which is an odorless poisonous gas. If the room is closed then there will be lack of oxygen in it. In such a situation, running the heater for a long time can suffocate you.
– Whether it is day or night, one should avoid sleeping with the heater on. Switch off the heater before sleeping and keep it at a place away from children.
– While running the heater, keep in mind that the window of the room is not completely closed. Make space for fresh air ventilation in the room. You can leave the windows slightly open while running the heater.
– Keep in mind that there is no plastic bag, paper or any such flammable thing kept around the heater. There is a risk of injury due to these.
– If there are any asthma or respiratory patients in your house, then avoid running the heater in their room. Asthma patients may have problems with heaters.
