Riddhima Sawhney reveals she started yoga after ‘very difficult pregnancy’: ‘It’s been 13 years now’

Riddhima Sahni started her yoga journey after a challenging pregnancy with daughter Samara. Here’s how his journey has been.

Riddhima Sahni, daughter of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor and sister of Ranbir Kapoor, has always been fond of yoga. In fact, she proudly describes herself as a ‘yoga enthusiast’ in her Instagram bio. Her Instagram profile is filled with pictures and videos of her doing certain yoga postures, ranging from easy to intense levels. Riddhima recently told in an interview to India Today how she started her yoga journey. Riddhima has been practicing yoga for the last thirteen years, and it was a difficult pregnancy that inspired her to take up this workout routine. In the interview, Riddhima talked about the time when she was pregnant with her daughter Samara. She was going through a challenging pregnancy and wanted to try yoga. “It’s been 13 years now and I’ve never looked back,” Riddhima said.

Riddhima recently made her screen debut with the third season of the Netflix series Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives. A few weeks ago, Riddhima had shared a short BTS still from the show, where she performed Chakrasana with perfection. Samara joins yoga session with her mother Riddhima

Daughter Samara often joins Riddhima in yoga sessions. Here is a picture of the mother-daughter duo pulling themselves up and doing Padmasana. Riddhima wrote in the caption, “Yoga with my champion.”

Yoga is a holistic approach towards health. It helps in strengthening bones, muscles, upper and lower body. It helps to create self-awareness and relax the nervous system. Pranayama, deep breathing techniques, helps cool the body and soothe the muscles.
