It has also been said in some reports that Rahman had tried for a coup, which failed. However, these reports have not been confirmed. Zaman wants an army that does not interfere in politics. He has said that the interim government is unstable and after stability, the army should return to the barracks. Rahman wants a role of the army in which he is more active. It seems that he is close to Bangladesh’s Islamist groups and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI.

Fear of spreading turbulent
This quarrel within the Bangladesh army is a matter of concern for the country. People are afraid that it does not cause unrest in the country. Meanwhile, General Zaman has feared a coup in Bangladesh. He has said that the country can come under the influence of external forces. He has also said that if the situation does not improve then the army can take control in its hands. Recently, the head of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI has visited Dhaka. This is the first time in several decades when the ISI chief has visited Bangladesh. India’s concern has increased due to this visit. Intelligence reports states that ISI wants to divide Bangladesh’s army.

Rahman close to Islamist groups
ISI chief Lieutenant General Aseem Malik has met Bangladesh Army Quarter General Lt Gen Mohammad Faizur Rahman. Rahman is considered close to the Islamist groups. It is being said that after Sheikh Hasina’s departure, Rahman can be made the head of DGFI, the intelligence agency of Bangladeshi army. This tour of the ISI chief shows that Pakistan wants to spread unrest in Bangladesh.
