NASA astronaut Sunita Williams is preparing for her much awaited return to Earth as SpaceX Crew -10 mission to launch the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday. Although many believe that he and his colleague Buch are “trapped” in the Wilmore space, NASA made time and again clear that they are not “stuck” in space.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has given Go -Forward to launch the SpaceX Crew -10 mission, which will replace Crew -9. It will take the authorities close to NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore, which have been in space for the last nine months.
If everything goes well, Sunita Williams and Buch Wilmore will return to Earth, as well as on 16 March with astronaut Nick Hague and Rososmos Cosmonot Alexandra Gorbunov.
All four crew -9 are part of the team and will return home to a spaceX dragon spacecraft after NASA’s SpaceX crew -10 mission. The handover period is two days.
When will SpaceX Crew -10 be launched in space?
The launch is targeted for 7:48 PM ET (Wednesday) or 5:18 AM IST (Thursday). The four-person crew has been scheduled to lift the launch complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. He is expected to reach the International Space Station the next day.

When will Sunita Williams return?
NASA officials had earlier stated that Crew 9-NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, Buch Wilmor, Nick Heg and Alexandra Gorbunov-will return only after the driver’s launch in space.
Once the crew -10 rides on the ISS, they will organize a brief handover period with NASA’s SpaceX Crew -9 mission, which will “introduce themselves to the ongoing science and station maintenance work, which supports safe infection of operations,” NASA said.
“After the crew’s handover and pending weather conditions, NASA astronauts Nick Hague, Sun. Williams, and Buch Willmore, Rosmosmos Cosmonot Alexander Gorbunov, Crew -9 SpaceX will return to the dragon spacecraft and Earth,” said NASA.
Sunita Williams return date
The estimated return date for Sunita Williams and three other crew -9 members is 16 March.
The NASA official said that a two -day handover period was required between crew -10 and crew -9. Therefore, if the crew -10 launches on March 12, the handover between crew -9 and crew -10 will be on March 14 and 15, with Crew -9 returning on 16 March.
Can Sunita Williams get further delayed?
NASA said that if the conditions are not favorable for the launch of crew -10 on March 12, then the backup of the launch is available on March 13 at 7:35 pm and on March 14 at 7:04 pm.
In such cases, the return of crew -9 will shift on March 17 or March 18.
Even if the crew -10 is launched at a time, the weather conditions can still affect the return of crew -9.
