Romantic comedy series Queen of Tears starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won and MBC’s Wonderful World, led by Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo, maintained their dominant positions as the top-ranking dramas of the week.
According to Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of TV dramas that filled viewers with excitement, tvN’s Queen of Tears retained its top spot for the fourth consecutive week. Wonderful World, on the other hand, enjoyed its second rank following the buzz of the tvN series.
These rankings are determined by taking into account weekly data collected from online communities, social media, articles, videos and blog posts. These include recent releases as well as upcoming titles.
Commendable success of Queen of Tears
After premiering on March 9, 2024, the film directed by Jang Young Woo and Kim Hee Won not only made it to the list of most talked-about drama releases, but its cast also topped the respective buzz-worthy cast lists.
Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, who play the titular romantic couple of Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In, topped the list at ranks 1 and 2 respectively. Her co-stars, Park Sung Hoon and Lee Mi Suk, enjoyed their place in the top 10, placing fourth and eighth respectively.

Furthermore, Vincenzo fame Song Joong Ki, who recently appeared in a memorable cameo in the series, also brilliantly made her way to the ninth position on this list.
The majestic success of Wonderful World
Cha Eun Woo fell behind Soo Hyun and Ji Won and came in third place as one of the top 10 actors generating the most buzz this week. His MBC drama co-star Kim Nam Joo finished fifth, while the drama beat off heavy competition to take second place as the most liked series this week.
Other dramas that made the top 10 list were The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection, Wedding Impossible, Beauty and Mr. Romantic, Nothing Uncovered, Third Marriage, Lovely Runner, Hide and Soo Ji & Yoo Ri.
tvN’s Wedding Impossible completed its 12-episode run on April 2, 2024. Its lead stars, Jeon Jong Seo and Moon Sang Min, placed sixth and seventh in the actor rankings.
Another title from tvN, Lovely Runner, is an upcoming series starring beloved actors Byun Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon. Based on a web novel, it will premiere on April 8 at 8:50 pm KST.
