Pune Porsche accident: The grandfather of the 17-year-old boy who killed two IT engineers on Sunday has been brought to the Pune Police crime branch office for questioning. The teenager’s grandfather was made the guarantor for bail, 15 hours after the murder of two 24-year-old youths in Pune, Maharashtra.
On Wednesday, the bail of the seventeen-year-old boy was canceled and he was sent to a remand home.
According to reports, Kishore’s grandfather was accused by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) of giving a contract to gangster Chhota Rajan to kill Ajay Bhosale of the undivided Shiv Sena in 2009.
The grandfather stood bail to bail a 17-year-old boy who was accused of driving under the influence of alcohol. The grandfather had also assured JJB that the minor would mend his ways.
According to Hindustan TimesThe grandfather had started the family’s construction business and demanded that Ajay Bhosle intervene in a property dispute that had arisen between Kishore’s grandfather and his siblings.
However, according to HT report, Bhosale, who was then contesting the 2009 assembly elections from Vadgaon-Sherri on a Shiv Sena ticket, had refused to do so when approached by Chhota Rajan.
The report further states that Dada suspected that Bhosale favoured his brother, so he asked Chhota Rajan to eliminate Bhosale. The CBI chargesheet states that Chhota Rajan hired a hitman to kill Bhosale.
The attacker fired at the Shiv Sena leader’s car when he was passing through Koregaon Park; however, the bullet hit the driver of the car and Ajay Bhosale narrowly escaped.
It is noteworthy that the accused teenager’s father has been sent to police custody till May 24. According to the FIR filed by Pune Police, the real estate developer gave the car to his son despite knowing that he did not have a driving license and that his life was in danger and allowed him to party despite knowing that he was a drinker.
Following the uproar over speedy bail, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) sent the 17-year-old boy, allegedly involved in a Porsche car accident in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar area, to an observation home till June 5.
While police said JJB canceled the bail granted to the minor three days ago on Wednesday evening, his lawyer claimed that the bail has not been cancelled. There was no order on the police’s application seeking permission to treat him as an adult accused.
