Admit cards for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test were released on Monday – ahead of the exam on December 1. Details can be viewed and downloaded from the official website pstet.pseb.ac.in. Candidates who qualify the exam will become eligible for teaching posts in government schools of Punjab.
PSTET admit cards were made available for download from the official website on November 18.
The Teacher Eligibility Test will be held on December 1 in which candidates will solve two papers consisting of multiple choice questions. The duration of each paper will be 1 hour 30 minutes and will cover a number of topics. Each question will carry 1 mark and there will be no negative marking.
Candidates wishing to teach classes I to V will have to attempt Paper 1, while candidates wishing to teach classes VI to VIII will have to attempt Paper 2. Candidates wishing to teach students in both the sections will have to appear in both Paper 1 and 2.
Child Development and Pedagogy will be a compulsory subject in both the papers and will be of 30 marks. Candidates will also have to solve two language papers of 30 marks each.
Those attempting Paper 1 will also have Mathematics and Environmental Studies as two separate subjects, each carrying 30 marks. Meanwhile paper two will have a section of 60 marks where candidates can solve either questions related to Mathematics and Science or questions related to Social Studies.
