Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held in seven parts from April 19 to June 1.
According to the schedule, the graduation part 3 examination for the session 2021-24 of Veer Kunwar Singh University will be held from April 5.
The examinations of the graduate students of Veer Kunwar Singh University located in Arrah, Bihar are likely to be postponed due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024.
Due to clash of voting dates, the university administration may postpone some examinations. Apart from this, the administration is also facing a dilemma regarding the examination centers as multiple colleges can also be used at the polling stations.
The university management is considering alternative methods to avoid disruption in the conduct of examinations between elections.
According to the schedule, the graduation part 3 examination for the session 2021-24 of Veer Kunwar Singh University will be held from April 5. This year more than 80 thousand students are going to appear in the examination. Meanwhile, the dates of Lok Sabha elections were recently announced. Now there is a conflict between the dates of voting and examination. As a result the entire examination schedule may be changed.
Graduation Part 3 examination is to be held in many colleges of Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts. Now that the Lok Sabha election dates have been announced, polling parties and election centers have reportedly been planned in some of these colleges.
This year, examination centers will be made in 44 colleges of Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas and Kaimur districts. As the Lok Sabha election schedule is released, most of the colleges are expected to be used as polling stations.
Maharaja’s College in Arrah has been designated as the Lok Sabha election training centre. Besides this, Al Hafeez College in Arrah and Jawaharlal Nehru College Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district have been designated for election-related activities. Apart from this, along with election related action, military personnel are also being deployed from HD Jain College, Arrah. The university administration is now considering whether some colleges should be made examination centers or not.
Speaking to News 18, Dr. Anwar Imam, Controller of Examinations of Veer Kunwar Singh University, said that there is pressure from the Raj Bhavan Secretariat to continue the academic session as per the schedule. The Education Department and Raj Bhavan have requested that the examinations be conducted as per the scheduled calendar. Dr. Imam said that apart from this, a plan has also been developed for conducting the examinations.
The subjects of the graduate examination are arranged into four groups. Dr. Anwar Imam said that examinations will be conducted daily on group basis.
Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be held in seven phases, from April 19 to June 1. Voting for all 40 Lok Sabha seats of Bihar will be held in 7 phases.
