Rome. The condition of Pope Francis became critical on Saturday and remained a long -term asthma breath problem, due to which he needed a large amount of oxygen. Vatican said in a statement that Francis has been hospitalized for a week due to lung infection and investigation revealed that he had anemia conditions.
Francis (88) was admitted to Jamelli Hospital in Rome on 14 February for treatment after the problem of ‘bronchitis’ and on Tuesday, doctors treated both her lungs. Along with this, ‘polymicrobial’ infection was also found in his wind hose.
Double pneumonia is a serious infection that can cause swelling and wounds in both lungs, making it difficult to breathe. Describing the Pope’s infection as ‘complex’, the Vatican has said that it is happening due to two or more micro -organisms.
Doctors have said that Francis’ condition is very bad and their condition is not out of danger in any way. He has warned that the main threat to Francis will be the beginning of ‘sepsis’, which is a serious blood infection.
Vatican said on Saturday that doctors had to give a “high flow” of oxygen due to their breathing problem. It said that blood transfusion was necessary because tests showed that their platelet counts were low, which belongs to anemia. Pope’s medical team said that till Friday, no indication of any kind of ‘sepsis’ was received and the consumption of various medicines is affecting Francis.
The Vatican had already announced in the day that he would not be publicly present to lead a prayer with pilgrims on Sunday, this is the second consecutive week that he would not attend the event.
