In response, PM Modi said during a TV interview that he does not take ‘Hindu-Muslim’ as a resolution and that he is ‘shocked’ that people are interpreting his ‘infiltrator’ remarks as being against Muslims. are doing.

Nadda’s reply to the Election Commission is in response to the notice served to him as party president by PM Modi over alleged violation of the election model code of conduct in his statements on Muslims. This notice was given on the basis of complaints by Congress, CPI and CPI (ML).

The complaint was regarding PM Modi’s speeches. On April 21, PM Modi claimed during an election rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara that based on earlier statements by Congress leaders, including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the grand old party will redistribute people’s wealth among them. Those who are infiltrators and those who have more children, referring to Muslims.

The PM also said that the Congress manifesto states that they will take stock of jewelery including mangalsutra of mothers and daughters and distribute it among Muslims. Although Modi did not use the word Muslim in his April 21 speech, in his subsequent election speeches he repeatedly alleged that the Congress was going to redistribute people’s wealth among Muslims.

It is said that in his reply to the Election Commission, Nadda has accused Congress, like the Muslim League, of trying to divide the country. This is in the context of PM Modi’s allegation that the Congress manifesto ‘Nyaya Patra’ has the imprint of the Muslim League. The Muslim League was the original successor to the All India Muslim League which was at the forefront of making Pakistan an independent nation. Five first Prime Ministers of Pakistan have been associated with this party.

Nadda claimed that just as the Muslim League had sown the seeds of the partition of India, the Congress has attempted to divide the south from the northern parts of the country through economic non-cooperation and linguistic differences. Nadda has also accused Congress of opposing the country’s fundamental religion and its ancient culture, the Indian Express report said.

Nadda has also said that all the speeches of the PM were based on facts and voters have the democratic right to understand the intentions of the opposition.

In a TV interview on May 15, the PM said, “I never said Hindu or Muslim. I have said that you should have only as many children as you can support. Don’t create a situation where the government has to (support).”
