Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 15 airport projects, including new Delhi terminal on March 10 in Azamgarh. New passenger terminals inaugurated include Delhi, Lucknow, Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti and Adampur.
PM Modi said, “People across the country can see the love and affection of Azamgarh. They can see your enthusiasm… this love is amazing.”
He said, “You can see that for the last few days I have been inaugurating many projects of the country from one place. When people hear about many airports, many railway stations, many IIMs, many AIIMS, they get surprised. Sometimes, they also keep the old mentality in the same box – that it is election season.
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections this year, PM Modi remarked, “What used to happen in the election season earlier? In previous governments, people used to make announcements to deceive the people. He said, “They used to put up plaques before the elections and then disappear, the leaders also disappeared.”
PM Modi further said that the foundation stones laid in 2019 were not for elections. You can see we have also inaugurated it. He called these inaugural projects “the campaign of my journey for development”.
He urged the citizens of the country to look at the year 2024 as a path to development and not through the prism of elections, as he said, “I am galloping to make the country a developed country by 2047.”
PM Modi said, “I am running at a fast pace and running the country at a fast pace to make the country a developed India by 2047.”
