New Delhi. Casting director turned actor Paramveer Singh Cheema is in the news for the second part of his upcoming series ‘Chamak’ titled ‘Chamak: The Conclusion’. He is all set for the release of the second season of this musical crime thriller. In this show, the actor will be seen in the role of a singer who comes to India to avenge his father’s death.
Paramveer spoke to IANS about the show. He said that he has learned to sing for the show and said that adapting to his character for the 102-day shoot schedule was a challenging experience for him as an actor. The actor further said, ‘A professional singer had given voice to the character for the on-stage sequences in the show, but now while learning the song, he had to train his throat muscles so that the singing looks real on screen.’
Actor Paramveer further said, ‘While preparing for my role in the show ‘Chamak’, I got to learn a lot about music. I took music classes. I used to be a bathroom singer, but after playing this character, I got the confidence to sing in front of people.’
Shooting lasted for 102 days
Paramveer also shared that it was a bit difficult to play this character. Its shooting also lasted for 102 days. Talking about the new season and story, the actor said that this time he will get more support from the fans of his character’s late father (played by Gippy Grewal) in the show.
Paramveer further said, ‘We saw at the end of the last season that my character ‘Kala’ was taken to jail. The second part of the show will show his efforts to get out of jail. The audience will also get to see how much his father’s fans support him as he was killed while performing on stage.
