Ola Solo: Ola introduced self-driving electric scooter, will balance itself, when will it be available?

New Delhi. India’s leading ride-hailing company Ola has introduced its latest electric scooter, ‘Ola Solo’. Solo is being called ‘India’s first autonomous electric scooter’. This electric scooter promises to transform urban commuting with its fully autonomous capabilities and advanced AI technology. At present, no information has been received regarding its launch or price. This is a prototype.

According to a report in Mint, Equipped with Artificial Intelligence, Solo is a completely autonomous and traffic-savvy scooter. Powered by the innovative JU-GUARD Adaptive Algorithm, the scooter learns from every ride and ensures a smarter and more efficient travel experience. Apart from this, the in-house chip LMA09000 used in it uses real time traffic data to navigate smoothly on city roads.

Ola Electric co-founder Bhavish Aggarwal announced the launch of Solo through a social media post and described it as a milestone in the electric scooter sector. He emphasized on its autonomy, AI capabilities and seamless integration into daily commute, signaling a paradigm shift in ride-hailing and local commerce.

Bhavish Aggarwal has written in his post shared on X that this is not an April Fool’s joke. Because, the video was released on 1 April. He has written that the purpose of the video released was to make people laugh. But the technology behind it is something on which we are working and have made a prototype. It shows the kind of innovative work our engineering teams are capable of doing. Ola Solo is a glimpse of the future of mobility and our engineering teams are working on autonomous and self-balancing technology in two-wheelers, which you will see in our future products.
