Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025: The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has announced the postponement of the recruitment examination for the posts of Deputy Inspector (SI). The Odisha Police SI 2025 Examination, initially scheduled for 8 and 9 March, has been postponed till next notice.
“It is to inform you that the Joint Police Service Examination – 2024, 8 March and 9th, has been postponed for time, 2025. Further information will be done later, “reads the official notification.
The new exam dates will soon be announced on the official OPRB website on odishapolice.gov.in.
Odisha Police SI Recruitment 2025: Vacancy Details
The recruitment campaign attempts to fill 933 vacancies at various positions, including Police (Armed), Station Officer (Fire Service), and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Assistant Jailor. The selection process will include a written examination, physical efficiency test and document verification.
- Police Deputy Inverted: 609 Vacancies
- Police Deputy Interest (Armed): 253 vacancies
- Station Officer (Fire Service): 47 Vacancies
- Assistant Jailor, Odisha Government under Home Department: 24 vacancies
Odisha Police SI Exam 2025
Joint Competitive Recruitment Exam will include the following stages:
Written test (OMR-based)
Physical standard test and physical efficiency test, which will qualify in nature.
Written Exam Plan: Written Exam Purpose Type will be multiple choice question (MCQs) and will be conducted through OMR (Optical Mark Recognition). Details for each paper are as follows:
Paper-I: General English and Odia Language
Maximum marks: 100
Time: 90 minutes
Type: MCQs
Paper-II: General Studies
Maximum marks: 200
Time: 180 minutes
Type: MCQs
Paper-III (only for Station Officer-Fire Service Post): Technical Paper
Maximum marks: 200
Time: 180 minutes
Type: MCQs
Total marks for written exam: 500
Each correct answer will take 1 point, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 points for each wrong answer. No marks will be provided or deducted for unnecessary questions.
