New Delhi. There is a sharp decline in car sales in the European Union countries. According to a Reuters report, car sales in these countries fell by 18.3 percent in August to a 3-year low. Electric cars are in the worst condition. While on one hand governments all over the world are calling for moving towards electric cars for a clean environment, the sentiments of the common people are telling something else.
This huge decline in car sales is mainly due to the decrease in EV sales. Car sales have fallen sharply in Germany, France and Italy. According to data from the auto industry association, this is the fourth consecutive month when EV sales have declined. As a result, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has had to demand “urgent action” to stop this decline.
