However, the now-viral K-drama scene wasn’t to everyone’s taste, resulting in a divisive, passionate debate online.
What happened during the new No Gain No Love episode?
11th (final) episode of no gain no love aired on Monday, September 30 and triggered a storm of indomitable online discussions. Reinventing a decades-old K-drama ideal of the viral “kimchi slap” tradition ignited by MBC’s morning drama Everyone Kimchi!, According to AllKpop, the 2024 tvN series brings a modern twist to it. The brand new dramatic scene sees Lee Sang Yi’s character, Bok Kyu Hyun, treating a serial killer with his drug along with an unprecedented alternative weapon. Although it was initially seen as two sticks glowing in the dark, fans had to try again as they realized that the objects in Kyu Hyun’s hands were actually dildos.

Reactions to the viral ‘dildo attack’ scene in No Gain No Love
This shocking revelation undoubtedly left K-drama fans in splits. While one party was busy gasping through incessant fits of laughter, the other was disturbed by the unsightly scene. Viewers eventually learned that different versions of the scene were aired on different platforms. Although OTT viewers might have seen a glimpse of sex toys, the TV telecast showed a different scene.

The broadcast version had to lighten even more than using blur, so they completely obscured the shape with a glowing effect. Yet another X user tweeted in disbelief, “No profit no love???” Like they found her using glow in the dark dildos as lightsabers, it’s pretty weird.
