NIRF Ranking 2024: IIM Ahmedabad has once again topped the list as the best management institute in the country, followed by IIM Bangalore and IIM Kozhikode

Management studies is one of the most popular courses among working professionals and management aspirants in India. Choosing the best institute for your management is a big decision. The Ministry of Education (MoE) unveiled the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 in a press conference today on August 12. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the NIRF Rank 2024 during a press conference and students can check the ranks on the official website nirfindia.org.

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad has maintained its number one position as the top management institute in the country, according to NIRF Ranking 2024. Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode are ranked second and third respectively.

NIRF 2024 Ranking: Top 10 Management Colleges in India

Here is a look at the top 10 management institutes of 2024:

Rank 1: Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

Rank 2: Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore

Rank 3: Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode

Rank 4: Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi

Rank 5: Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta

Rank 6: Indian Institute of Management, Mumbai

Rank 7: Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow

Rank 8: Indian Institute of Management, Indore

Rank 9: XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur

Rank 10: Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay

In addition, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras topped the overall rankings for the sixth consecutive year, while the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore was once again recognised as the top university. The Indian Agricultural Research Institute earned the top spot in agriculture and allied sectors, while Hindu College was ranked the top college in the country.

Developed by the Ministry of Education, NIRF is a comprehensive rating system to evaluate educational institutions across the country. It evaluates institutions based on several factors including teaching-learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduate outcomes, outreach, inclusiveness and overall perception. The total 100 per cent weightage is distributed as follows: 30 per cent for teaching-learning and resources, 30 per cent for research and professional practice, 20 per cent for graduate outcomes and 10 per cent for outreach and inclusiveness and perception.

Three new categories for Open Universities, State Public Universities and Skill Universities were also introduced this year. These were added to the existing categories including Colleges, Universities, Overall Ranking, Management, Pharmacy, Engineering, Medical, Law, Architecture, Agriculture and Dental Colleges.
