New Manga Alert: Tokyo Revengers Creator’s Negai no Astro, 2 Others Will Launch in Weekly Shonen Jump

Weekly Shōnen Jump issue 19 revealed the launch of three upcoming manga titles in the magazine’s 20th issue next week. Serialized chapters of Negai no Astro, the new story from Tokyo Revengers creator Ken Wakui, begin airing on Monday, April 15. The supernatural action series will arrive with two more titles belonging to the same broad genre.

New manga titles in upcoming Weekly Shonen Jump issues

  • Negai no Astro (Astro’s Wish) by Ken Wakui.

Release date: Monday, April 15, in Shonen Jump issue 20

The supernatural action series is based around the character Hibaru, who aims to become the strongest yakuza. According to Anime News Network, the first chapter will consist of 58 pages, focusing on the succession war of the Yotsurugi-gumi clan.

  • Kyokutou Necromance by Fusai Naba

Release date: Monday, April 22, in Shonen Jump issue 21

The next title from the mangaka of Aliens Area fame is a supernatural battle action series centered around a teenage boy who meets a mysterious woman claiming to be his father’s friend. Once she introduces him to the world of Necromancy, his adventurous journey into the unknown begins. Turning his attention to a mysterious ring inherited from his father, the boy makes a connection with the spiritual world, potentially on his way to saving those around him.

  • Saikuru Biyori / Bicycle Biyori by Kobayashi Omusuke

Release date: Monday, May 13, in Shonen Jump issue 24

The newcomer manga artist’s work will be based on the theme of life on the supernatural side of things. In this coming-of-age chapter, a high school girl discovers her supernatural abilities, only to meet a new transfer student who claims to have powers of her own.

Before launching his upcoming fantasy series, the mangaka released a few one-shots, including Ashita Akira no Tanagokuro and Houki no Kariudo.
