Amid the ongoing political tussle over the NEET-UG results and cancellation of UGC-NET exam, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday said the future of students is the government’s priority and the errors in the NEET exam were limited to a specific area.
The Education Minister urged to have faith in the system and said that the government will not tolerate any kind of irregularity or malpractice.
Pradhan said, “We are committed to conducting zero-error examination. A high-level committee is being formed to improve the functioning of NTA.”
What did the chief say?
- I want to assure everyone that the government is committed to protecting the interests of students. We will not compromise on transparency.
- Student welfare is our priority.
- We are in touch with the Bihar government regarding the NEET exam. The police is investigating and a detailed report will be submitted by them.
- Some errors are restricted to specific areas.
- Whoever is guilty, no matter who he is from NTA, no matter how big he is, will not be spared.
- The government will constitute a high-level committee to recommend on the structure, functioning, examination process, transparency and data security protocols of NTA.
- We are committed to zero errors.
- UGC-NET exam cancelled after paper leaked on darknet
- A single incident (Bihar paper leak) should not affect lakhs of students who had appeared for the exam honestly.
- Do not try to spread rumours and politicise the issue.
Pradhan’s remarks came hours after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacked the government and the Prime Minister over the issue.
CBI registered a case
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against “unknown persons” for allegedly compromising the sanctity of the UGC-NET examination held on June 18.
What did Rahul Gandhi say while attacking the PM?
– Narendra Modi is not able or does not want to stop paper leak in India
– Narendra Modi’s main agenda right now is the election of the Speaker.
– The reason behind the paper leak is that the education system has been taken over by the parent organization of BJP.
– What Narendra Modi did to the economy through demonetisation, he has now done the same to the education system.
-It is very important that those who are guilty be brought to justice and punished.
How did the BJP react?
, BJP national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the government is fully alert and sensitive regarding the NEET exam.
-Rahul Gandhi has nothing to do with the future of lakhs of students, he just wants to shine his politics on this issue.
– If there is any center of paper leak in the country then it is Congress and Ashok Gehlot’s government in Rajasthan.
