According to the National Testing Agency, 813 out of 1,563 candidates appeared for the NEET-UG re-exam on Sunday.
This re-examination is being conducted for the affected candidates who lost time during the originally scheduled examination on 5th May.
“Out of a total of 1,563 candidates, only 52 per cent appeared for the re-examination on June 23. The total attendance was 813. Attendance at two Jazar Centres was 58.09 per cent. Out of 494, 287 appeared for the re-examination,” the NTA said.
According to NTA, “63 candidates from across the country have been debarred from the exam on charges of malpractice. Now, 17 candidates from Bihar have been debarred from the exam on charges of malpractice during the NEET exam. 30 candidates from exam centres located in Godhra have been debarred from the exam.”
The re-conduct of the exam was announced following allegations of irregularities in NEET-UG, including paper leak.
Amid allegations of irregularities in conduct of entrance examinations, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Sunday claimed that its website and all its web portals are completely safe.
The NTA rejected the allegations of tampering with the portals, calling them “false and misleading”.
“The NTA website and all its web portals are completely secure. Any information that has been hacked or leaked is false and misleading,” the NTA said in a post on X.
