The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Post-Graduate (NEET PG) 2024 is scheduled by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on Sunday, June 23. The medical entrance exam will be held at over 1000 exam centres in 300 exam cities across the country. The NEET PG exam will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Meanwhile, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a re-examination on June 23 for 1,563 NEET UG candidates who were given “grace marks” to compensate for the “loss of time” due to delay in the start of the exam at six centres – two in Chandigarh and one each in Meghalaya, Haryana, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat.

Candidates appearing for the exam scheduled on June 23 between 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM must keep the following guidelines in mind:
1. Entry to the examination centre will be given before the gate is closed as per the instructions given on the admit card. To avoid any hassle, candidates must report well in advance at the ‘Reporting Counter’ of the examination centre.
2. As per the guidelines of NBEMS, any candidate arriving late at the examination center will not be allowed entry under any circumstances. The authorities will not be responsible for reaching late due to any reason.
3. NBEMS advises the candidates to familiarise themselves with the exam centre a day before the exam to avoid any delay on the exam day.
4. Candidates must carry the Admit Card issued to them to the examination centre on the day of examination.
5. Family, relatives or friends are not allowed inside the examination centre. During the examination, any kind of contact with the appearing candidate is not allowed.
6. Candidates will have to present their admit card and ID proof for verification to the exam officer who will use the barcode/QR code reader to verify the details. The board has said that candidates will be informed about their assigned lab number.
7. To ensure that no unauthorised candidates appear in the examination, the officials will verify the identity of the candidates on their arrival at the examination centre.

10. Surveillance cameras will be installed to monitor the testing process. In addition, each workstation will be blocked from three sides – front, left and right.
NEET PG 2024 Exam Pattern
The three-and-a-half-hour NEET PG exam will consist of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs). As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
