According to Anil Shetty, a Bengaluru-based fitness instructor, apart from a moderate approach towards eating, you should also increase your workout schedule and still stay on a healthy track. He says, “The extra workout will help you burn more calories, stay on track with your healthy diet routine, and relieve the stress that comes with moving around outside.”

“Almost every day, whether at home or at the gym, exercise for 30 minutes or more. Every morning or before dinner would be the best time as most people sleep late and wake up late. Walk, run, dance, do yoga, or any other physical activity that refreshes you amid all the festivities,” he adds.

It can be hard to keep yourself away from late-night festivities, says Anil, but do your best to go to bed at a good time and aim to get at least seven hours of shut-eye a night.

“Sleep is invaluable. It repairs your body and keeps your immune system strong,” he says. Anil said it’s equally important to stay hydrated when you’re out and about – staying hydrated can reduce your appetite, keep your skin looking great and even boost your metabolism.
