Cape Canaveral, Fla. (AP) – Just a day after blasting, a SpaceX crew capsule reached the international space station on Sunday, providing replacement for two stuck astronauts of NASA.
Four newcomers – representing the US, Japan and Russia – will spend the next few days to learn from Ins and Butum Wilmor and Sun. Williams. The two will then lease their own SpaceX capsules at the end of this week, which will close an unexpected extended mission that began last June.
Wilmore and Williams were just expected to leave for a week when they launched Boeing’s first astronaut in flight. He hit a nine -month mark earlier this month.
Boeing Starlineer Capsules faced so many problems that NASA stressed that it came empty, leaving his test pilots behind to wait for a spaceX lift.
His ride arrived at the end of September with a downcised crew of two and two vacant seats, reserved to the leg back. But more delayed occurred when the new capsules of the brand of their replacement required extensive battery repair. An old capsule took its place, extended their return by mid -March to a few weeks.
The weather permission will not be before the space station compared to Wednesday in the SpaceX capsules carrying Villmore, Williams and two other astronauts and will exit the coast of Florida.
