NASA shares stunning image of lenticular galaxy NGC 4753. Everything you need to know

Date:

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)’s Hubble Space Telescope has released a stunning image of the lenticular galaxy NGC 4753. The Hubble Space Telescope was launched in 1990 and has since changed fundamental principles of our understanding of the universe, from determining atmospheric composition. Planets around other stars to search for dark energy.

Here’s everything you need to know about the lenticular galaxy NGC 4753

-The complex dust formations described by NASA are located about 60 million light years from Earth.

-Talking about the causes of its dust structures, NASA said that NGC 4753 merged into a different galaxy about 1.3 billion years ago, which may be the reason for its distinct dust lanes around its galactic core.

-Lenticular galaxies have an elliptical shape and indistinct spiral arms.

-Describing the image posted by NASA, it wrote, “The lenticular galaxy NGC 4753 possesses a bright-white core and defined dust lanes around its nucleus that appear predominantly dark brown. A variety of faint stars fill the background of the image.”

– Crediting the European Space Agency, NASA said NGC 4753’s low-density atmosphere and complex structure make it scientifically interesting to astronomers who can use the galaxy in models that explain the various ways in which lenticular galaxies form. Let’s test the theories.

Meanwhile, on Friday NASA announced that the first crewed launch of Boeing’s Starliner to the International Space Station may face another delay due to a technical glitch. The launch, which was postponed, has now been rescheduled for May 25. Earlier this month, the Starliner launch was delayed at the last minute due to a technical problem.

This latest delay adds to the already extended wait for the much-awaited mission, which has faced years of setbacks. Times are particularly difficult for Boeing, as safety concerns continue to impact its commercial aviation division, a major player in aerospace innovation for more than a century.
