Chapter 424 will arrive on Monday, June 3 at 12 AM JST, as it will begin with the events after the Final Battle Arc. With the last surviving heroes grappling with their injuries and broken spirits, the story is expected to come full circle as Deku and Bakugo once again take control of the central gravity of the story like the old days.
Here’s what you can expect to see in the upcoming My Hero Academia chapter.
My Hero Academia Chapter 424 Spoiler
x/According to famous My Hero Academia spoiler scooper @RukasuMHA on Twitter, the upcoming chapter (titled ‘Epilogue’) will be set in Washington and focus on the aftermath of the final battle. As the weather clears, Meryl apologizes for the forecast being wrong, while also warning people about the strong winds.

The wind in question was generated by Deku’s powerful punch, which ultimately ended the war once and for all. After this, Cementos and Salaam are shown rebuilding an establishment, which becomes a cause of celebration and relief for some children waiting to live there. Other international heroes joined their Japanese counterparts in helping rehabilitate the country and clean up the rubble left behind by the war.
Even the media is aware of the indispensable role of the quirks. As one reporter pointed out, without these capabilities, it would take more than ten years to rebuild the nation.
The scene later changes to the hospital, where a doctor treats Bakugo’s injured arm, which he believes will never fully heal. While he’s in limbo, the doctor suggests that he should get robotic limbs like Mirko if he wants to continue his heroic responsibilities. However, he immediately turns down the offer because his quirk is triggered by the sweat on his hands.
Holding on to the belief that Deku has no quirks, Bakugo decides to push himself harder in rehab, which worries the doctor. With Bakugo’s heart in danger, the doctor is troubled by how Bakugo was able to carry himself during the fight. Without Edgeshot’s play, he would have died long ago.

The scene eventually shifts to another hospital room where Deku and All Might are admitted in the same room. Although Deku could move his arms again, he was still filled with regret about his failure to save Tenko Shimura. He then thinks about how, despite all the hatred in his heart, he maintained his stance as the leader of the League of Villains until his last breath.
Once All Might asked Deku what Shigaraki’s face looked like at the end, he remembered his last conversation with him. His mentor suggested that if he didn’t see him as a crying boy, then his heart was already saved.
All Might tells him that he must have understood Deku’s intentions when he gave the OFA to Shigaraki. Yet, he still feels the OFA’s sparks. At this moment, Bakugo enters the room. Upon discovering that those sparks may soon fade, leaving Deku uncaring, all their old memories from the beginning come back to Bakugo’s mind, and he becomes emotional. This unusual sight shakes Deku to the core. Although originally his rival, Bakugo reflects on his actions in the past, confirming that he hopes to continue their layered conflict with each other, which has equally aided in their respective character development – even All Might acknowledges their growth.
He claims that Deku became the greatest hero the moment he ran away and that he became a role model for many others. In contrast, Bakugo’s efforts saved All Might’s life, leading to this moment shared between them. He thanks them both and acknowledges them as the greatest heroes.
The last page of the alleged spoiler shows Deku, Iida, and Kaminari in their school uniforms while UA continues to rebuild.
Although it seems as though the story has turned the final page of its final moments, the series’ mangaka has assured fans that this is not the end.
Referring to the series’ much-anticipated return to its “academic” roots, Kohei Horikoshi’s editorial comment in this week’s edition is as follows: “Writing convention says that the story’s ending should be brief, but this isn’t the type of manga that ends immediately after the battle is over, so I’ll continue a little longer. We’re going back to the title.”
