New Delhi. Motorola Edge 50 was launched in India on Thursday. This phone is claimed to be the thinnest MIL-810H-rated curved smartphone in the segment and also has an IP68-rated build. The phone has a 50-megapixel Sony-Lytia 700C primary rear sensor and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter. It is equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor paired with 8GB of RAM. This handset will be present along with Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Edge 50 Ultra and Edge 50 Fusion.
Motorola Edge 50 is priced at Rs 27,999 in India. This price is for the single 8GB + 256GB variant of the phone. The handset can be purchased from Flipkart and Motorola India’s official website from August 8. Talking about the offers, customers using Axis Bank or IDFC First Bank credit card or credit card EMI can get an instant discount of Rs 2,000, which will bring its price down to Rs 25,999.
This phone has been launched in three color options Jungle Green, Pantone Peach Fuzz and Koala Gray. The first two color options have a vegan leather finish, while the last color has a vegan suede finish.

Specifications of Motorola Edge 50
The Motorola Edge 50 sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K Super HD pOLED curved display with a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, HDR10+ support, and SG Blue Light Reduction certification. It is also equipped with Smart Water Touch technology that lets you use the phone even with wet hands.
The phone has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 AE (Accelerated Edition) processor. The phone has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It runs on Android 14-based Hello UI.
For photography, the Motorola Edge 50 features a Moto AI-backed triple rear camera unit that includes a 50-megapixel Sony-Lytia 700C primary sensor, a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, and a 13-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is a 32-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is equipped with Dolby Atmos-backed dual-stereo speakers. It has been given IP68 rating for dust and splash resistance and is also MIL-810H military-grade certified which indicates that it can withstand high temperatures. It will also provide protection against shock and vibration. For security, the handset has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
