New Delhi: Nana Patekar and Ganesh Acharya’s lawyer Padma Shekatkar has given his clarification in the sexual harassment case of Tanushree Dutta. He says that the court did not accept the case because the FIR was written very late. Padma Shekatkar said that Tanushree is deliberately defaming her client. He told that in 2010, the FIR written by Tanushree at Oshiwara police station, mentioning an incident of 2008. This is a completely false charge. He also cited Sami Siddiqui’s 2018 sting operation, saying that the court has already called his client innocent in that case.
According to the lawyer, the Oshiwara police had investigated the case and gave a report in Andheri Court. But the court dismissed the case saying that the FIR was written very late. Padma Shekatkar further said that Tanushree could not even give any cleanliness to delay the FIR, so the court dismissed her case. He said that Tanushree has no evidence, while more than 100 people were present on the set during the shooting. My clients are unable to understand why false accusations are being made against them. He has earned a lot of name with his hard work and all this is an attempt to stain his name.

This decision is a ray of hope for all men who are being falsely implicated in the name of ‘Me Too’. We had full faith in the law and today we are happy that justice was done.
