Actor Gurucharan Singh, who was missing since April 22 this year, returned home on Friday. An India Today report citing Delhi Police said Gurucharan Singh was “on a religious visit.” Gurucharan Singh is best known for playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. What did Gurucharan tell the police after returning home?
According to the report, Gurcharan Singh told the police officers during interrogation that he had left his worldly life and was on a religious journey. In the last few days, the actor had stayed in Gurudwaras of many cities including Amritsar and Ludhiana. However, they later realized that they should return home.
According to the report, the police also found in their investigation that Gurucharan Singh was a follower of a meditation sect. He even showed interest in going to the Himalayas for meditation. Delhi Police had registered a case of kidnapping and investigation was going on to trace him.

Reportedly, Gurcharan Singh was a frequent user of credit cards and maintained multiple bank accounts for financial activities. Police also found out that he operated more than 10 bank accounts.
