CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a centralized national level government entrance examination for admission to 22 national law universities in India. Most self-financed and private law schools in India also use these scores for law admissions. Counseling for CLAT 2024 is currently going on. Students who do not score good scores in CLAT will not be able to get admission in law courses. However, they can try to clear other examinations related to law course. Registration for many of these entrance exams has not yet been started. This space clarifies the list of names of these exams.
1. CUET PG LLM: Candidates who failed to score well in CLAT exam can attempt CUET LLM entrance exam. The marks of this exam can help the candidates to get admission in Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. They can also get admission in Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University and Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur. 2. NLSAT: National Law School Admission Test can also be considered for admission to National Law School of India University (NLSIU). This entrance examination can also be a way to secure admission to the three-year LLB course. The last date to apply for this is 24th February. 3. MH CET Law: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law can also be a good option for those candidates who could not clear the CLAT exam. Maharashtra CET has shared the Law Entrance Exam schedule on its website. The last date of registration for this five-year LLB program is May 3.
4. Lucknow University LLB Entrance Exam: The curriculum of Lucknow University consists of three-year and five-year LLB courses. The university has not yet released the notification for the entrance examination. For this, candidates should keep checking the website of Lucknow University regularly.
5. Calcutta University BA LLB Entrance Exam: Calcutta University also conducts the five-year BA LLB course for law aspirants.
