IAS Rahul Pandey, who has been made the new DM of Hathras, UP, has secured 52nd rank in the UPSC examination.
UPSC is one of the toughest exams. After passing this exam, there is selection for IAS, IPS, IFS and other services and they are appointed in different departments on the basis of their experience and service. Recently many IAS officers have been transferred in UP. In these transfers, Rahul Pandey (IAS Rahul Pandey) has been made the DM of Hathras district of UP. Just a few months ago, there was a stampede during Bhole Baba’s satsang in Hathras. 123 people died in this stampede and this district was in the headlines.
IAS Rahul Pandey, who has been appointed as the new DM of Hathras, UP, has secured 52nd rank in the UPSC examination. Rahul is originally from Ghaziabad district of UP. He became an IAS by passing the UPSC examination in his fourth attempt. Earlier, he became an IPS by passing the UPSC examination in 2011. He had scored very good marks in the written examination (711/1750) and especially in Public Administration (229/500).
Rahul Pandey succeeded in becoming an IAS officer in the fourth attempt in the 2013 UPSC Civil Services Examination. Earlier, he had secured 106, 330 and 290 ranks in his three attempts. He is an IAS officer of AGMUT cadre. At that time he was working as the Director of Information and Public Relations Department of Jammu and Kashmir. After this he joined the UP cadre on the basis of inter-cavalry deputation. After this he was appointed Collector of Hamirpur district of UP. Now he has been appointed DM of Hathras district.
