CNG version of new Maruti Swift may come soon. The price of CNG version will be higher than the petrol variant. The company had launched Maruti Swift 2024 on May 9 itself.
New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki launched the next generation model (Maruti Suzuki Swift 2024) of its famous car Maruti Swift on 9 May. The company has made many changes in the interior and exterior of the new Swift. Also, the new Swift has a brand new Z-series, 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine. The company claims that the new Swift will give a mileage of MT variant 24.8 kmpl and AMT 25.75 kmpl. The new engine gives power of 82 hp and torque of 112 nm. As soon as the updated petrol version of Swift is launched, people are now eager to know when the company will launch its CNG version in the market.
However, Maruti-Suzuki has not yet officially made any announcement regarding the CNG version of the new Swift. But, auto industry experts say that the new Swift CNG will hit the market in the coming few months. Talking about its rival cars, both Hyundai’s Grand i10 Nios and Tata Tiago are available with CNG options.

Can get only manual transmission
According to the Autocar report, like the cars sold at Maruti Suzuki’s Arena showrooms, the Swift will also soon be offered in CNG option. This will be the company’s first CNG car to be launched with the new engine. The powertrain of CNG engine may be slightly less as compared to petrol engine. Changes may be seen in the power and torque output of the new engine. Only manual transmission is likely to be available in the CNG variant of Swift.

The ex-showroom price of the new Swift is Rs 6.49 lakh to Rs 9.64 lakh (Maruti 4th generation Swift Price). Market experts say that the price of CNG variant may be Rs 90,00-95,000 more than the petrol variant. The new Swift (petrol variant) with manual box can give a mileage of around 24.80kpl per litre. On the other hand, the company claims that this car will give a mileage of 25.75kpl in automatic transmission. It is expected that the mileage of the upcoming Swift CNG can be up to 32 kilometers in one kilogram of gas.

The company has left no stone unturned in decorating the new Swift 2024. Many major changes have been made in the new Swift. The exterior and interior have been improved and the engine mechanism has also been changed. All variants of the new Swift come with six airbags, ESP, hill hold control and three-point seatbelts as standard. The new Swift is available in nine color options – Sizzling Red, Pearl Arctic White, Magma Gray and Splendid Silver. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift is available in five variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi Plus and ZXI Plus DT. The new Swift is 15 mm longer and 30 mm taller than the old model. The wheelbase is only 2,450 mm.
