New Delhi. The country’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki has reduced the prices of its 2 cars. Maruti Suzuki on Monday announced a price cut on select variants of Alto Kl0 and S-Presso. In a notice to the stock exchange, the company said that from September 2, 2024, the price of S-Preso LXI petrol has been reduced by Rs 2,000 and the price of Alto K10 VXI petrol by Rs 6,500. Earlier, the wholesale sales of total domestic passenger vehicle segment of market top company Maruti Suzuki India fell 8 per cent to 1,43,075 units in August as against 1,56,114 units in the same month a year ago. Sales of small cars like Alto and S-Presso declined to 10,648 units in August as against 12,209 units in the same month a year ago.

maruti car sales decreased
Sales of compact cars like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis and Swift declined by 20 percent to 58,051 units in August as against 72,451 units in the same month a year ago. Sales of utility vehicles like Grand Vitara, Brezza, Ertiga, Invicto, Frontex and XL6 stood at 62,684 units last month as against 58,746 units in the same month a year ago.
Sales of Eeco stood at 10,985 units last month as against 11,859 units in the same period a year ago. Sales of light commercial vehicle Super Carry stood at 2,495 units in August as against 2,564 units in the same month last year.
