With the increase in petrol prices and the availability of more CNG fueling stations across India, there is a growing demand for CNG-operated vehicles. For electric vehicles, although they are setting a leg in the Indian motor vehicle market, the boundary boundaries and the availability of charging infrastructure has placed them on a low favorite place for many buyers. Unlike electric vehicles, CNG cars easily provide the option to switch petrol and vice versa from CNG.
Given that CNG infrastructure is slowly developing, while petrol stations are already more installed, these are a reasonable and affordable option for vehicle ideas. There is a quick introduction for five CNG cars available in India, which is minimal 10 lakhs.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 currently holds the title of the cheapest CNG car in India. It comes in two variants: Lxi (O) CNG and VXI (O) CNG, with East-Dialom Prices 5,83,499 and 6,04,501 respectively. It is powered by a 998cc naturally powered by aspirated petrol engine that offers 56 bhp at 5300 rpm and 82.1 Nm peak torque at 3400 rpm. The transmission option for CNG is 5-speed manual. Maruti Suzuki mentions that Alto K10 CNG fuel efficiency will be up to 33.85 kg.
Maruti Suzuki S-Paso
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is offered with two trims, LXI (O) and VXI (O), and its price 5.91 lakhs and 6.11 lakh respectively. The 998cc naturally generates maximum power of 56 bhp and has been rated at 5300 rpm. The torque has been rated at 82.1 Nm at 3400 rpm. A five-speed manual gearbox comes as the standard. Maruti Suzuki claims that S-Presso CNG saves 32.73 km/kg of mileage.
Tata Tiago ICNG
Lock -up The features provided by 6 million (east-showroom), and the features provided by it include twin-cylinder CNG tanks, direct CNG starts and an AMT, which makes it the cheapest CNG car with an automatic transmission. It is introduced in five manual and three AMT variants. The manual variant price is between 5.99 lakhs and 8.19 lakhs vary between east-showroom and AMT 7.84 lakhs and 8.74 Lakh (East-Shoreroom). Tiago ICng comes with a 1.2-liter engine that produces 72.3 bhp and 95 Nm of torque under the hood. Its fuel efficiency has been rated at 26.49 km/kg for manual and 28.06 km/kg for automated mechanical transmission models.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R CNG has two variants, LXI (O) CNG and VXI (O) CNG; East-showroom prices vary 6.54 lakhs 6.99 Lakh, East-Shorroom. It provides 998cc naturally aspirated engine that holds 56 bhp at 5300 rpm, and provides 82.1 Nm of torque at 3400 rpm. This engine is kept for a 5-speed manual transmission. According to Maruti, this CNG model gives 33.47 km/kg of fuel efficiency.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG is the most fuel-skilled CNG car in India, which claims mileage of 34 km/kg. It costs 6.90 lakhs, pre–shorums, and only available on the mid-spec VXI version. Engine-wise, this 998cc is naturally similar to other Maruti Suzuki cars on the list, with aspirated petrol engine. It performs maximum torque of 55.92 bhp at 5300 rpm and 82.1 Nm at 3400 rpm in Celerio.
